Friday 13th June 2025

Dear Kilmorie Families,

I hope that you have had productive weeks.  This week’s Senior Leader Assembly was a joyful celebration of teamwork, pride, and anticipation! We applauded the incredible Champions League victories of Paris St Germain and Arsenal—reminding us all about the power of teamwork. We also marked the beginning of Pride Month, embracing the values of inclusion, respect, and resilience that are at the heart of our school community. And with excitement building, we looked ahead to our upcoming production of Peter Pan, where imagination and creativity will take flight. We have a wonderful few weeks planned

A reminder, on Monday and Tuesday we have our class photographs, so please ensure that children are prepared - brushed hair (I shall polish my head) and clean clothes etc.

Late Pick ups

Please remember to pick up your child(ren) up promptly at 3.30pm or after Enrichment Clubs at 16.30.  If you are running late, please notify the office.  If children are not picked up promptly, they may be put into the 1-hour club, and you will incur a charge.

Milford School - Educational Visits and School Activities

Sarah R's Class had an action-packed time at the Science Museum.  They attended the Wonder Show where they learnt about states of matter, forces and sound; consolidating their learning from some of the year 4 science topics. Some of the children got chosen to go up and help with the experiments. The children then visited the Wonderlab where they got to experience lots of hands-on science; a favourite was definitely the forces slide. A fun day, inspired by science.

Update from the Chair

We have a busy summer term at FoK! And we’ll be in touch regularly through the class what’s app groups, Instagram and our blog pages.

  • Peter Pan Bake Sale - the teachers, parents and carers who bring this event to the stage are amazing, and we’re doing our bit to support them! All funds raised will support the production and help make it as magical as it always is! Please bring your bakes to the office next Friday before the end of the day.

We know the bake sales are really popular - but often there are many more mouths to feed than cakes donated. It is first come first serve, and everyone selling cakes are fellow parents or carers, volunteering their time.

I’m sad to report that recently our volunteers have had to deal with abuse, due to wait times or lack of cake. We will do our best to make it as organised as possible but your patience is always appreciated and please be kind.

  • Lots of you have visited our Amazon Wishlist  and helped us out hugely by purchasing an item – you’re amazing!  There are few items left if anyone else would like to make a purchase. There are both Peter Pan and event items on the list – both help out the school hugely as we reuse and recycle as much as possible!

Thank you so much for all your support! We’ll be in touch again soon, I look forward to seeing you at our summer events and don’t forget to visit our blog page!
