Friday 13th February 2026

Dear Parents and Carers,

I apologise for my absence this week. My mother passed away at the beginning of the week.  My family has been supported by the good wishes from the Kilmorie family. I look forward to seeing you all in the new term. It has been a busy term despite its brevity.

This week we have been celebrating Children Mental Health week. The children and adults were able to wear clothes which reflected who they are today in our “Come as you are day.”

The assembly this week was focused on safe internet use, with a discussion on the use of AI.

This week marks the beginning of Ramadan, a very special month for many Muslim families in our school community. During Ramadan, Muslims take time to reflect, be thankful, and show kindness to others. Many will also fast from sunrise to sunset.

We’d like to wish all our pupils, families, and staff observing Ramadan a peaceful and blessed month. Throughout this period, we’ll continue to support our pupils in school and help everyone learn about the importance of respect, understanding, and caring for one another.

Ramadan Mubarak to those who are celebrating!

I hope that you have a wonderful half-term break and we shall see you again on the 23rd February.

Children’s Mental Health Week

It was lovely to see the children dressed up as themselves to end a busy but fun Children’s Mental Health Week.  We celebrated the week through assemblies, wellbeing sessions with Tully in the art room, art activities for our whole school ‘belonging’ display and ended the week by having an open classroom afternoon.  The children enjoyed exploring other classrooms around the school and we hope it helped them feel a greater sense of belonging in their school.  A special thanks to our Wellbeing Committee members – Frieda, Millie, Clara and Thisbe - for their creative ideas and for helping to put the week together.

Deputy Young Mayor Of Lewisham

Many congratulations to ex-Kilmorie student Izzy McDonald, who has just been elected Lewisham Deputy Young Mayor. Well done Izzy, we are very proud of you and are sure you will do an excellent job.
