I would the this working group to be representation of the range of different communities and backgrounds involved in our school, from race to religion, to sexual orientation to disability.

 

This Diversity Working Group will look to celebrate the diversity of the school but to also support the development of its provision in terms of diversity but also examine the challenges that are faced by the different communities both within school and in the local community.

 

The first meeting of this group will take place in Thursday 25^th January at 09.10 in the Community Room.

Last year I met with a few parents to discuss diversity.  I am keen to set up a Diversity Working Group that represents all aspects of our community, such as staff, parents, Governors.  In the next few weeks our Pupil Parliament Committees will get started, including the Diversity Committee which will capture pupil voice.
